Ten.

Ten is the number of days we had of summer vacation before our first (and *knocks on wood* only) serious injury, trip to the Emergency Room, and broken bone.

Courtesy of LukeyBaby, who took a digger on his bicycle and caught the handlebars in the collarbone.
He had a couple weeks of pain, but was a trooper!
And is now the proud owner of a matching set of broken collarbones...
June 2010 Age 7, fell off bike
October 31st, 2004 Age 2, fell off bunkbed

And so, for Halloween that year, instead of an "army soldier", LukeyBaby was an "injured army soldier."

He's kinda graceful, like his mama Dad. *grin*

That was a creative way to deal with it!

Knock on wood, we haven't had any broken bones here. It's only a matter of time, though. My boys are all daredevils.

That picture of him when he was 2 is so adorable!

I can totally relate to this post because when my daughter was 3 she fell off her bunkbed and had to get stitches....and today at age 6.5 she had to get stitches again. I thought girls were less prone to accidents and injuries than boys! Apparently not!
